# Tour de Mátra

> Tour de Mátra has been an international road cycling event and sports festival in Hungary since 2021. This is the main official event and registration website.

> Tour de Mátra takes place in the Mátra Mountains and is known for its iconic mountain finish at Kékestető (1,014 m), Hungary's highest point. The event welcomes amateur cyclists from Hungary and abroad.

> Participants can take part in the 19 km Individual Time Trial on Friday, the 16 km Mini Fondo uphill challenge on Saturday, and may choose between the 94 km Medio Fondo or the demanding 161 km Gran Fondo on Sunday. The Gran Fondo features 2,550 metres of elevation gain and a legendary mountain-top finish at Kékestető. A timed KOM/QOM climb on Sunday rewards the fastest men and women.

> Important participation notes:

- No UCI racing licence is required to enter Tour de Mátra.
- The 19 km Individual Time Trial is open only to cyclists aged 19 and over.
- The Mini Fondo, Medio Fondo and Gran Fondo routes are open to all cyclists.
- Cyclists are classified according to their age and eligibility in the relevant UCI Gran Fondo World Series or Hungarian Cycling Federation (MKSZ) category.

> Tour de Mátra is part of the UCI Gran Fondo World Series, the world's leading amateur cycling series.

- Dates: 3-5 July 2026.
- Location: Gyöngyös, Kékestető and the Mátra Mountains, Hungary.
- Event status: Official UCI Gran Fondo World Series qualifier in Hungary.
